Until now, all costs were shown at the last month of the chosen frequency period, for example the last month of a quarter, or December for a yearly bonus. Especially for bonus payments it's common to have them paid out a little later.
We have now added more control over the payout logic, so that it can be moved into the following period, for example the first month of the subsequent quarter. This way you can now plan closer towards the cashflow reality.
Additionally we have extended our partial-month logic to larger timeframes. Prior to this release we considered partial months already, e.g. someone joining in mid-April only receiving half the salary for that month. For other periods (namely quarterly/biyearly/yearly), we conservatively took the full period, e.g. someone joining mid-February would have been calculated for 3 months of costs for Q1 instead of the proportional amount of 6 weeks.
This has no been improved as well, so that regardless of the payout frequency, amounts are calculated proportionally.
